Agent skill

icra-related-work

Use when building or auditing the related-work section of an ICRA paper — covering the conference's own recent proceedings plus IROS, RSS, CoRL, RA-L, and T-RO lanes, handling arXiv-only robotics work, citing your own platform papers under ICRA's double-anonymous rules, and positioning against commercial systems.

From the SKILL.md

# ICRA Related Work Related work at ICRA is a positioning argument compressed into roughly half a page: which line of robotics research the paper extends, which competing approaches exist, and what precisely is new. Reviewers are drawn from the same community that wrote the competing papers — coverage gaps are noticed personally. ## The five lanes an ICRA reviewer checks | Lane | What to cover | Where it lives | |---|---|---| | ICRA/IROS proceedings, last 3 years | direct competitors on the same task | IEEE Xplore | | RSS + CoRL | algorithmic and learning-forward rivals | RSS proceedings site, PMLR | | RA-L | fast-moving journal siblings — often the *same groups'* newer results | IEEE Xplore | | Archival journals (T-RO, IJRR, AURO) | the mature line the task descends from | publisher sites | | Recent arXiv robotics | concurrent work reviewers will have seen tweeted | arXiv cs.RO | A robotics-specific trap: many results appear twice — an RA-L paper presented at an ICRA — and are cited inconsistently. Cite the archival journal version (RA-L/T-RO) when one exists; do not cite the same work twice under both labels. ## Concurrent and arXiv-only work Robotics moves partly on arXiv now. P

About this skill
What does the icra-related-work skill do?

Use when building or auditing the related-work section of an ICRA paper — covering the conference's own recent proceedings plus IROS, RSS, CoRL, RA-L, and T-RO lanes, handling arXiv-only robotics work, citing your own platform papers under ICRA's double-anonymous rules, and positioning against commercial systems.

How do I install it?

Run `npx skills add brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills --skill icra-related-work --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.

Where does this skill come from?

From brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills, a repository with 984 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
