Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how VibeCrowd (“we”, “us”, the “Service”) handles information in connection with the website at vibecrowd.fund. We aim to be transparent and to collect only what we need to operate a useful product directory.

We respect privacy laws including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). If you have questions, contact us at hello@vibecrowd.fund.

1. Who we are

VibeCrowd is an independently operated directory of startups and software products. For the purposes of data-protection law, VibeCrowd is the data controller for the information described here. The Service is operated from outside the European Economic Area but is available globally.

2. Information we collect

a) Information about site visitors

When you visit the Service, we and our providers automatically collect limited technical data:

  • IP address, approximate region, browser type, device, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring URLs, and basic interaction data
  • Date and time of access (server logs, kept for security and diagnostics)

b) Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf. This data helps us improve the product. You can control cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. For details on Google’s practices, see Google’s own privacy documentation.

c) Publicly available company information

The core of the Service is a directory compiled from publicly available sources — including startup directories, launch platforms, and companies’ own public websites. This may include a company’s name, website, product description, logo, sector, publicly listed business contact details, social profiles, and metrics drawn from public sources.

Where this information relates to an identifiable individual (for example, a publicly listed founder email), we process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating an informational directory, balanced against the rights of the individuals concerned. If you are associated with a listed company and want your information updated or removed, see Data Removal.

d) Information you provide

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message). We use it only to respond to you.

Accounts: The Service does not currently offer user accounts. If we introduce accounts or community features in the future, we will update this Policy to describe the additional data we collect and how we handle it.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and display the directory
  • To analyze and improve the Service (analytics)
  • To secure the Service and prevent abuse
  • To respond to your requests and communications
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests — operating an informational directory and securing the Service
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics, where required
  • Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and analytics. Full details, including how to manage or disable them, are in our Cookie Policy.

6. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service (e.g. hosting, analytics), bound to process data on our instructions
  • Authorities, where required by law or to protect rights and safety

7. International transfers

The Service is operated globally and data may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the EEA. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

8. Data retention

We keep technical logs and analytics data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize them. Directory information is kept while a listing remains relevant or until a valid removal request is processed.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Data portability
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (CCPA) — note that we do not sell personal information
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@vibecrowd.fund or use our Data Removal page. EU/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 (or under 13 where permitted by local law). If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take additional steps where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
