Startups by country, ranked by what they earn

Every market where we can verify revenue through a payment provider. The map of where startups get built and the map of where they make money are not the same map — that gap is the interesting part.

How the atlas works
How many countries have startups on VibeCrowd?

124 markets, covering 12,432 startups. Together they collect $29.3M in a 30-day window — but that money is far from evenly spread: United States alone accounts for 70% of it.

Which country makes the most startup revenue?

United States, with $20.5M collected across 943 startups with verified revenue, led by Gumroad.

Is the country where the startup was founded or where it operates?

It is the country on the company record — usually where it is registered or where the founder is based. Plenty of these businesses sell worldwide, so read it as the origin of the team, not the location of the customers.

Why is the total here lower than on the rankings page?

Because this atlas only counts startups that have a country on record. Ones listed as remote or worldwide, and ones with no location at all, are left out rather than filed under an invented country — so the $29.3M here is a subset of all tracked revenue, not a different measurement of it. Those startups still appear everywhere else on the site.

Does one country ever appear twice?

Not any more. The source stores locations inconsistently — some records say “CO”, others say “Colombia” — which used to split a single market into two pages with two different counts. Every spelling is now resolved to one canonical country, and the old URLs redirect to it.
