# Contribution Framing (etp-contribution-framing) ## When to trigger - A reviewer or coauthor asks "what is the contribution, in one sentence?" and you stumble - The paper has results but the "so what for theory" is buried or implied - The "implications for practice" section is generic boilerplate - The contribution claimed in the abstract does not match what the evidence delivers - You cannot say which entrepreneurship belief your paper *changes* ## ETP's dual contribution standard ETP's identity is **theory AND practice**. A passing ETP contribution makes a **specific theoretical claim** — a new construct, a mechanism, a boundary condition, a reconciliation — *and* a **specific, mechanism-derived practice claim**. Both must be true, both must be earned by the evidence, and the practice claim cannot be a decorative afterthought. This is the single most ETP-specific framing demand: many strong-theory papers fail at ETP because their practice section reads as an obligatory paragraph. ## Build the contribution as a matched pair | Layer | The claim must… | Failure tell | |-------|------------------|--------------| | **Theory** | Name what changes in a specific entrepreneurship convers

What does the etp-contribution-framing skill do?
Use when sharpening the headline claim of an Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (ETP) manuscript into a contribution to entrepreneurship theory AND practice.
How do I install it?
Run `npx skills add brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills --skill etp-contribution-framing --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.
Where does this skill come from?
From brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills, a repository with 984 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.
Is a popular skill a good skill?
Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
