Review
written from the skill's own SKILL.md · Aug 5, 2026

What it does

The skill handles creation and optimization of marketing content across multiple formats (SEO/blog, ad copy, emails, social content, landing pages, content calendars, and brand voice) and includes brand context, platform constraints, and accessibility considerations.

How it works

  • Activate when the user request involves SEO content, ad copy, email marketing, social content, landing pages, content calendars, brand voice, content decay detection, AI content quality management, accessibility, multilingual/localization, or email infrastructure.
  • Use trigger phrases like those listed (e.g., "write a blog post," "ad copy," "email sequence").
  • Before producing output, apply brand voice by loading session brand context and any guidelines found under the brand profile, if available.
  • Gather required context through the Required Context checklist (content type, audience, objective, brand voice, keywords, platform, funnel stage, existing content, constraints, performance benchmarks).
  • Follow the capabilities to generate content with SEO, ad copy, emails, social, landing pages, and more, incorporating format requirements, tone, and platform norms.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance steps: brand voice alignment, readability checks, accessibility review, fact-checking, platform compliance, on-page SEO, and AI-content quality checks.
  • Propose an Optimization & Testing Plan including what to A/B test and benchmarks, plus a decay/refresh planning workflow.
  • Reference related output formats and templates for delivering each content type (blog posts, ads, emails, social posts, landing pages, content calendars, brand voice guides, and audit/Accessibility reports).

When to use it

Use this skill for content tasks such as blog posts, ad copy, emails, social posts, landing pages, editorial calendars, voice guidelines, content decay detection, AI content quality management, accessibility improvements, multilingual localization, and email infrastructure topics. It supports a broad set of content outputs with platform-specific constraints and brand rules.

What it can touch

It uses the listed tools and templates referenced in the Skill (claude-code, copilot, cursor, codex) to generate content, apply brand voice, check compliance, and perform readability and accessibility analyses. Specific file paths and scripts are invoked as part of QA and brand compliance workflows.

Caveats

The skill relies on existing brand profiles and guidelines when available. If no brand profile exists, it may proceed with general best practices. It emphasizes disclosure for AI-generated content where relevant and flagging of regulated content needing legal review. It enforces platform policies, character limits, and formatting constraints as defined by platform specs and internal templates.

About this skill
What does the content-engine skill do?

Create or optimize marketing content. Use when: blog posts, ad copy, emails, social posts, landing pages, voice guidelines.

How do I install it?

Run `npx skills add indranilbanerjee/digital-marketing-pro --skill content-engine --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.

Where does this skill come from?

From indranilbanerjee/digital-marketing-pro, a repository with 700 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
