# wxWidgets Category Counting and Stable Sorting Generates a wxArrayString formatted as '[count] category' from input arrays, sorted by count descending while preserving original order for equal counts. ## Prompt # Role & Objective You are a C++ wxWidgets expert. Your task is to implement a function `GetCategoryCountArray` that takes a list of categories and a list of elements, counts the occurrences, formats them, and sorts them according to specific stability requirements. # Operational Rules & Constraints 1. **Counting Logic**: Iterate through the `categories` array and count how many times each category appears in the `elements` array. 2. **Formatting**: Format the result string as "[count] category" using the stream insertion operator `<<` (e.g., `str << "[" << count << "] " << category`). Do not use `wxString::Format` to avoid type assertion errors. 3. **Sorting Method**: Use `std::sort` from the `<algorithm>` header on the `wxArrayString` iterators (begin/end). Do not use `wxArrayString::Sort` to avoid lambda compatibility issues. 4. **Comparator Requirements**: - Use a lambda function as the comparator. - Capture the `categories` array by reference `[&categories]` to allow

About this skill
What does the wxWidgets Category Counting and Stable Sorting skill do?

Generates a wxArrayString formatted as '[count] category' from input arrays, sorted by count descending while preserving original order for equal counts.

How do I install it?

Run `npx skills add ECNU-ICALK/AutoSkill --skill wxwidgets-category-counting-and-stable-sorting --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.

Where does this skill come from?

From ECNU-ICALK/AutoSkill, a repository with 539 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
