What it does
Guides a candidate or Charlie through the OpenEd vault, aiming to orient, assess strengths, and drive real output. For candidates, it facilitates a fast, practical tour, skill discovery, and path toward a contract proposal. For Charlie, it provides quick orientation and system navigation.
How it works
Two modes exist:
- Candidate mode: Welcome, determine tool visibility, set tone, gather background, then present starting points (What is OpenEd?, How does this content machine work?, What needs doing?, Ship something, Show me everything). The agent then leads through one or more Paths, delivering concise, direct summaries and asking clarifying questions to steer toward concrete outputs.
- Charlie mode: Skip to Quick Reference and help locate needs, ideas, or orientation.
Phase 0 features a welcome and identity check to classify the user. Phase 1 presents five starting paths, with Path 1-5 content laid out and described succinctly. The agent maintains a direct, non-narrative tone, prioritizing orientation and action over entertainment.
Phase 2 weaves values into conversation (I did over we should; customer first; ship then polish; etc.). Phase 3 presents products, strategy, and role archetypes (Writer, Strategist, Producer, Builder) to guide self-selection, followed by a natural question about interests. Phase 3.5 introduces a warmup task aligned with archetypes to reveal instincts in a 15–20 minute exercise. Phase 4 locks scope (Domain Lock) toward depth on one opportunity, anchored to audience growth. Phase 5 focuses on producing actual output useful to Charlie, with concrete prompts if unsure what to do.
When to use it
Use when onboarding content marketing candidates or orienting a Charlie through the vault. Activate candidate mode for onboarding; switch to Charlie mode for orientation at the start of a session.
What it can touch
Tools declared: claude-code. The skill references repository structure and specific paths (OpenEd vault, tasks, content assets) but does not surface executable code outside the described workflow. It prompts the user to interact with files, tasks, and content packages; it does not itself run external actions beyond asking for what to do and guiding through existing content.
Caveats
License is MIT. The skill’s guidance relies on predefined paths and content references within the OpenEd vault and repository structure; outcomes depend on user interactions and available assets. No API keys or env access are granted to candidates; guidance explicitly acknowledges this limitation.
