Review
written from the skill's own SKILL.md · Aug 5, 2026

What it does

Plan, script, generate, edit, and review short-form ads that feel native to creator-led feeds while ensuring truthfulness, disclosures, licensing, and platform review readiness.

How it works

Treats UGC ads as four linked artifacts: 1) The creative (hook, story, demo, proof, CTA); 2) The evidence file (substantiation for every objective claim); 3) The rights file (appearance rights, usage terms, paid usage, licenses); 4) The disclosure file (commercial relationship, AI/synthetic disclosure, platform upload settings). If any artifact is missing, ship only a clearly labeled draft for client review, not publish-ready.

Fast intake collects product details, target buyer, placement, format, evidence constraints, creator persona, rights, and compliance reviewers/escalation path. Document claims with substantiation, avoid unsupported absolutes, and escalate health/financial/AI/sensitive claims for client approval.

Compliance guardrails require substantiation of claims, separation of subjective vs objective claims, and alignment of ad, landing page, terms, and disclosures. For synthetic personas, disclose AI/synthetic elements and ensure consent; re-check platform rules at production time.

Creative system outlines 10 UGC ad structures (hooks, proofs, demos, testimonials, before/after, app walkthrough, etc.) and provides hook frameworks, script-beat timing, and instructions for framing and proof. Variant matrix supports controlled experiments for hooks, persona, proof, length, CTA, caption style, and offer framing. Platform delivery notes emphasize re-checking official specs before export and applying platform disclosure requirements.

When to use it

Use when planning, scripting, generating, editing, and reviewing short-form UGC-style ads that require truthfulness, licensing, disclosures, and platform compliance, including synthetic personas and AI-components. Use also when producing campaigns that need evidence-based substantiation, rights management, and disclosure planning across TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and related formats.

What it can touch

The skill specifies tools: "claude-code, codex, copilot, cursor". It requires managing product details, rights, disclosures, and platform specs via those tool-assisted workflows.

Caveats

Produces production guidance rather than legal advice. Escalates for regulated content, health/financial/children/political content, synthetic-human likeness, or unclear disclosure duties. Requires client/counsel approval for sensitive claims and AI/synthetic disclosures; platform labeling and disclosure requirements may vary by geography and platform and should be re-checked before final export.

# UGC Ad Production Use this skill to plan, script, generate, edit, and review short-form ads that should feel native to creator-led feeds while still being truthful, substantiated, disclosed, licensed, and ready for platform review. This is production guidance, not legal advice. For regulated products, material performance claims, health/finance/children/political content, synthetic human likenes

About this skill
What does the ugc-ad-production skill do?

Provider-independent workflow for producing UGC-style paid and social ads, creator testimonials, product demos, hooks, before/after concepts, app walkthroughs, TikTok/Reels/Shorts variants, synthetic-persona or avatar UGC, ad-policy checks, disclosure planning, rights/consent review, delivery specs, and QA.

How do I install it?

Run `npx skills add calesthio/generative-media-skills --skill ugc-ad-production --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.

Where does this skill come from?

From calesthio/generative-media-skills, a repository with 112 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
