# Telegram Automation via Rube MCP Automate Telegram operations through Composio's Telegram toolkit via Rube MCP. ## Prerequisites - Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available) - Active Telegram connection via `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `telegram` - Always call `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` first to get current tool schemas - Telegram Bot Token required (created via @BotFather) ## Setup **Get Rube MCP**: Add `https://rube.app/mcp` as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works. 1. Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` responds 2. Call `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `telegram` 3. If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to configure the Telegram bot 4. Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows ## Core Workflows ### 1. Send Messages **When to use**: User wants to send text messages to a Telegram chat **Tool sequence**: 1. `TELEGRAM_GET_ME` - Verify bot identity and connection [Prerequisite] 2. `TELEGRAM_GET_CHAT` - Get chat details and verify access [Optional] 3. `TELEGRAM_SEND_MESSAGE` - Send a text message [Required] **Key parameters**:

About this skill
What does the telegram-automation skill do?

Automate Telegram tasks via Rube MCP (Composio): send messages, manage chats, share photos/documents, and handle bot commands. Always search tools first for current schemas.

How do I install it?

Run `npx skills add sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills --skill telegram-automation --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.

Where does this skill come from?

From sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills, a repository with 44,414 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
