Editors screen before assigning a **minimum of two referees**, so the abstract and introduction must land the contribution fast. Key house facts to write to: - **Abstract ≤ 250 words**, concise and factual; avoid references unless essential, and if used cite author/year in the abstract. - **elsarticle** LaTeX document class; **Elsevier** reference style (numbered or author-year, any CSL-compatible manager).
