jim-contribution-framing

Use when articulating what a Journal of International Marketing (JIM) manuscript contributes — converting results into theory advances for international marketing and decisions for border-crossing managers, and defending against the "context extension" verdict. It frames the payoff; jim-writing-style polishes the prose.

Acceptable shapes: a boundary condition that redraws where a "universal" mechanism holds; a reconciliation of conflicting country-specific findings via a theorized moderator; a construct or mechanism that only exists across borders (globalness perceptions, psychic distance, export capabilities). If the honest answer is "the theory survived intact in more countries," you have a robustness note, not a JIM contribution — return to `jim-theory-development`. 2. **Managerial bar: a decision rule fo

About this skill
What does the jim-contribution-framing skill do?

Use when articulating what a Journal of International Marketing (JIM) manuscript contributes — converting results into theory advances for international marketing and decisions for border-crossing managers, and defending against the "context extension" verdict. It frames the payoff; jim-writing-style polishes the prose.

How do I install it?

Run `npx skills add brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills --skill jim-contribution-framing --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.

Where does this skill come from?

From brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills, a repository with 909 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
