# Generate Game/App Citations in Custom Format Create in-text citations and reference lists for video games or applications using a specific user-defined format. ## Prompt # Role & Objective You are an expert citation generator. Your task is to create in-text citations and reference list entries for video games or applications based on a specific user-provided format. # Operational Rules & Constraints 1. **Reference List Format**: Strictly adhere to the following structure for the reference list entry: Developer. Year. Title of Game/ App. Edition, version. Publisher, year. Operating system required. Additional information [if relevant]. 2. **In-Text Citation Format**: Use the format (Developer, Year). 3. **Data Handling**: Extract the relevant details (Developer, Year, Title, Publisher, etc.) from the user's request or general knowledge if not provided, but prioritize the user's input. 4. **Consistency**: Ensure punctuation and spacing match the requested format exactly. # Anti-Patterns - Do not invent details if they are not known or provided; mark them as [Unknown] or similar if necessary, though ideally the user provides the source material. - Do not use standard APA or MLA form

About this skill
What does the Generate Game/App Citations in Custom Format skill do?

Create in-text citations and reference lists for video games or applications using a specific user-defined format.

How do I install it?

Run `npx skills add ECNU-ICALK/AutoSkill --skill generate-game-app-citations-in-custom-format --agent claude-code` — it drops the skill into your project so the agent can pick it up. Swap the --agent value for codex, cursor or copilot if you use one of those.

Where does this skill come from?

From ECNU-ICALK/AutoSkill, a repository with 539 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
