What it does

The skill helps plan e-commerce content marketing by generating a complete strategy from scratch (Build) or analyzing existing content and identifying gaps (Audit). It supports multiple platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Blog/SEO, and Amazon A+. It uses customer reviews, trends, competitor content, and SEO opportunities to produce topic ideas, a content calendar, and platform-specific strategies. It operates without requiring an API key.

How it works

  • Two Modes:
    • A — Build: requires product_category, target_market, platforms, and optional competitor URLs; collects customer insights from reviews across sources (Amazon, Reddit, Trustpilot, YouTube, TikTok, Google, niche forums); performs trend and topic research across Google Trends, platform trends, and seasonal events; conducts competitor content analysis if a competitor handle is provided; performs SEO keyword research; defines 3–5 content pillars; generates a Content Calendar with per-week plans including platform, content type, topic, pillar, caption hook, and hashtags/sounds; outputs a week-by-week schedule and includes a structured outline for each week.
    • B — Audit: requires brand handles/URLs and active platforms; fetches and analyzes current content to assess mix, frequency, platform fit, engagement signals, and gaps; produces a Gap Analysis identifying where improvements are needed relative to competitors.
  • The workflow includes explicit data collection steps, customer insights mining from listed sources, trend and topic research, SEO keyword gathering, and a calendar generator with concrete fields for each entry.

When to use it

Use Mode A (Build) when you are planning a new product launch, building a content calendar, finding viral ideas, analyzing competitor strategies, or extracting customer pain points for topics. Use Mode B (Audit) when you already have content and want to benchmark against competitors, identify gaps, and set goals for improvement.

What it can touch

The skill references tools and inputs such as web_search queries, web_fetch on product pages or profiles, and platform-style content formats across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Blog, and Amazon A+. It expects user-provided inputs like product category, target market, platforms, URLs/handles, and competitor identifiers. It does not auto-execute external actions beyond generating structured guidance and suggested content plans.

Caveats

  • No API key is required. License: MIT. Category is Security. Requires Claude Code as declared tool. If inputs are incomplete, it provides prompts for required fields but does not fabricate missing data.
  • All outputs are generated guidance based on user inputs and stated sources; the skill does not guarantee performance or outcomes.

Where does this skill come from?

From nexscope-ai/eCommerce-Skills, a repository with 580 stars. We read it straight from the repository tree rather than a submitted listing, so what you see here is what is actually published.

Is a popular skill a good skill?

Not necessarily. Stars measure attention, not adoption — a repository can trend for a week and be abandoned. That is why we show the weekly change from our own snapshots next to the total, instead of a single flattering number.
