What it is

A repository that provides ready-to-use DESIGN.md inspirations intended to be fed into Claude Design to scaffold a full design system, including tokens, components, and a UI kit.

How it works

The project documents multiple design-system inspirations via DESIGN.md files. Claude Design can accept a DESIGN.md either by uploading it in the feed (Option A) or attaching it in chat (Option B). Claude Design then generates:

  • README.md with brand context, voice, and visual foundations
  • colors_and_type.css with CSS variables and type scale
  • Google Fonts substitutions when needed
  • preview/ cards for colors, type, spacing, components, and brand
  • a working UI kit (index.html + components)
  • SKILL.md for future projects

Getting started

"Upload any DESIGN.md to Claude Design" to start scaffolding. Two ways to feed Claude Design:

  • Option A: Start from a design system in Claude Design, upload the DESIGN.md under Add assets
  • Option B: Start from a prototype, attach the DESIGN.md in chat and request design system creation

Exact steps are described in the README under Option A and Option B, including UI elements generated and the output package specifics.
